Sonu Nigam Reveals Only Vape Was Thrown At Him During Recent Delhi Concert. Glad, He’s Okay!

Sonu Nigam has set the record straight after reports surfaced claiming that stones and bottles were hurled at him during his recent concert at Delhi Technological University (DTU). A video from the event had gone viral, showing the singer pausing his performance and urging the audience to refrain from throwing objects on stage. However, addressing the controversy, Sonu clarified that there was no stone-pelting and that only a vape had been thrown.

In a statement, the veteran singer explained, “Nothing like hurling of stones or bottles, as mentioned in some media, happened at DTU. There was one vape thrown by someone on stage that hit Subhankar’s chest, and that’s when I was informed about it. I paused the show and reminded the collegians that the concert would have to be stopped if it happened again.”
Following the vape incident, the mood of the concert shifted when someone from the audience tossed a pink bunny headband onto the stage. Instead of reacting negatively, Sonu took it in stride, playfully wearing the headband and continuing his performance. Embracing the moment, he sang Kya Se Kya Ho Gaya, much to the delight of the crowd. The audience erupted in cheers and affectionately began calling him Pookie Pookie.

Sonu later shared a picture of himself wearing the pink headband, adding a humorous touch to the situation. “The only thing hurled on stage after that was the Pookie band. Which was really Pookie,” he quipped. The photo quickly gained traction, with fans showering him with love and appreciation. One fan commented, “Thank you for the clarification! The Pookie headband suits you so well, we hope to see you wear it more often!” Meanwhile, singer Stebin Bin joined in the praise, writing, “You’re the most loved singer, Sonu sir! You’re only going to get love.”
Despite the initial disruption, Sonu’s concert ended on a high note.
