Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha will next be seen in the upcoming film Tu Hai Meri Kiran with her husband, actor Zaheer Iqbal.

After slaying in Bollywood for more than a decade, actor Sonakshi Sinha is reportedly ready to make her South debut and fans can’t wait for this one to arrive on the cinema. The Heeramandi star might be venturing into the Telugu cinema with the upcoming thriller Jatadhara starring Sudheer Babu. Although confirmations from the filmmakers and stars is yet pending, reports have been buzzing lately.
Sonakshi Sinha To Make South Debut?
Jatadhara starring Sudheer Babu is presented by ZEE Studios and produced by Prerna Arora. The film has already garnered significant interest from the audience following its grand muhurat ceremony in Hyderabad. Sonakshi Sinha is to join the cast and will begin shooting from March 8 according to recent reports. For the unversed, Sinha’s first film offer was from a Tamil film called Hey Ram, where she was to star opposite Kamal Haassan.

The actress from Dabangg was most recently featured in Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, a period drama directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. During the Indian independence fight against the British Empire, the show focused on the life of tawaifs in Lahore’s red-light area of Heera Mandi. Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Segal Mehta, and Taha Shah Badussha were also featured on the Netflix series.

She will next be seen in the upcoming film Tu Hai Meri Kiran with her husband, actor Zaheer Iqbal. After working together on Double XXL, Karan Rawal and Sanjana Malhotra are directing this, their second joint project. However, there are currently legal problems with the movie. Adlabs allegedly expressed concerns regarding copyright infringement, claiming that the song ‘Tu Hai Meri Kiran’ violates the rights of multiple other films in their collection.
