Every actor has a different and unique story to share about their Bollywood debut. Sharing a unique story about her debut was Sonakshi Sinha, who compared landing a role in her Bollywood debut film Dabangg with Salman Khan to an arranged marriage. Dabangg gained immense love, and Sonakshi Sinha rose to stardom. Well, here’s why it was a surprising experience for her!
Why Did Sonakshi Sinha Compare Her Bollywood Debut Experience To Arranged Marriage?
In a recent interview with Kareena Kapoor on What Women Want Season 5, Sonakshi Sinha talked about how her career started surprisingly. She shared that Salman and Arbaaz Khan noticed her at Amrita Arora’s wedding, right after she had lost a lot of weight. She added that they said they were working on a project and thought she would be perfect for the role. At first, Sonakshi didn’t take them seriously, but then Salman and Arbaaz came to her house to share the script with her and her family. Before she knew it, she was on the set of Dabangg. Furthermore, Sonakshi Sinha compared the experience to an arranged marriage but once she got to the set, she realised she wanted to do this, and she has been doing it ever since.
During a previous interview, she wasn’t asked if she wanted to act instead, she was just told she was part of the film. Everything happened so fast, and once she started working, there wasn’t much time to think about the whole process. The shift into acting felt really natural and like it was something she was always meant to do.
