She wrote, “I need to clarify that the wedding is called off. I would like to close this matter here and implore all of you to do the same.” She also added that the rumours around her wedding were overwhelming and respected some privacy for both families.
Mandhana returned to cricket practice the day after she released her statement. Her brother, Shravan Mandhana, posted a photo of her in full training mode, wearing pads and facing throwdowns at a private facility. The image, accompanied by heart emojis, went viral on social media, with followers admiring her concentration and fortitude. The left-hander is scheduled to feature in India’s five-match T20I series against Sri Lanka on December 21-30.
