Though their pre-wedding ceremonies had already begun, destiny had other plans for them. While her manager earlier said that it was postponed due to her father’s ailment, later rumours started swirling around about the groom-to-be’s alleged cheating. Smriti Mandhana is the daughter of Shrinivas Mandhana and Smita Mandhana. And the month of November 2025 was very hard for her because of her wedding cancellation and her father’s hospitalisation on the day of her marriage. He reportedly had heart attack-like symptoms and was admitted to a hospital in Sangli. On December 7, 2025, the couple took to Instagram Stories and posted separate notes to address the rumours surrounding the cancelled wedding. After that, the two unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Today, December 9, 2025, we discovered that Smriti’s parents, Shrinivas and Smita Mandhana, are still following their ex-son-in-law, Palaash Muchhal, on Instagram. The musical composer also follows them on Instagram. Smriti Mandhana went to Instagram Stories on December 7, 2025, to clarify that her planned wedding with Palaash Muchhal has been cancelled. She stated that as a ‘private person’, she prefers to preserve things as they are. She stated her desire to conclude this subject. She stated that her game was the most important aspect of her life and would always be her primary focus.
