When the news of Smriti and Palash’s wedding postponement broke out, everyone was shocked. Mandhana’s manager then came out and revealed that her father had suffered a heart attack and was admitted to a private hospital. He is now reported to be stable but remains under medical surveillance.
However, the situation got more complicated after a Reddit threat mentioning Palash Muchhal popped up. The thread featured screenshots of an Instagram account named Mary D’Costa. The Instagram account has since been deactivated, but the screenshots have gone viral all across social media.

The messages date back to May 2025, and Palash is seen asking her to go on a swim. When the woman asks whether Paalash is in a relationship, he avoids the question and still tries to convince Mary to meet him.
Outrage erupted after the screenshots went viral. Netizens also noticed that Smriti Mandhana had deleted her proposal video, along with the engagement announcement, from her social media yesterday. Both clips had gone viral. Palash, however, still has all his posts up with her on his account.
Many are shocked at the possibility of Palash cheating on Smriti, while some say that there is not enough proof to believe so. Palash’s sister, Palak Muchhal, also recently released a statement about the ongoing situation on her Instagram story, saying, “Due to Smriti’s dad’s health, Smriti and Palash’s wedding has been put on hold. Would request all of you to respect the privacy of the families in this sensitive time.”
