During a recent chat at the Amazon Smbhav Summit in New Delhi, Smriti Mandhana talked about her life as the vice-captain of the Indian Women’s team. She revealed that there was nothing that she loved more than cricket. She said that wearing the Indian jersey is the motivation that drives her and that she kept all the problems and thoughts aside to focus on life. Just a few days back, Mandhana also released a statement calling off her wedding with music composer Palash Muchhal.

The duo had been dating for a long time, but destiny had other plans as things got out of hand on their wedding day. She shared an Instagram story and added that, despite being a private person, she needed to make it clear that her wedding was off. She wrote, “Over the past few weeks, there has been plenty of speculation around my life, and I feel it is important for me to speak out at this time. I am a very private person, and I would like to keep it that way, but I need to clarify that the wedding is called off.”

Palaash Muchhal posted an Instagram story when Smriti Mandhana confirmed the cancellation of her wedding. He confirmed that he has decided to move on in his life and withdraw from his relationship. He referred to it as the most challenging time and highlighted how people react to false rumours.
