How hard can it be to keep your opinions to yourself? Some things should not be blurted out but men like Sivaji, a Telugu actor, cannot help but do so. During an event held for Dhandoraa in Hyderabad he stated how women or actresses should dress. This was totally uncalled for but he said it anyway. Now people online are bashing him for the same and we see nothing wrong with it.
What Did Sivaji Say?
During the event, Sivaji reportedly called women who don’t dress modestly as “daridrapu m***a” which means wretched woman. He went on to call women’s body parts “Samaan”. At the event, he praised anchor Sravanthi Chokkarapu for wearing a saree. He gave unsolicited advice to actresses, stating that they shouldn’t just wear whatever they feel like while going out because they will bear the consequences of it. Nice way of blaming clothes for assault against women, wow!
Sivaji asked actresses not to mind what he was saying but even if they did, he wouldn’t care adding that he would slap back. The actor stated that women look beautiful when they dress appropriately like wearing a saree. Sivaji did not stop there, he also shared that whenever a woman wears revealing clothes people will smile but they will think she is a wretched woman. He added that when someone says this out loud, conversations around freedom for women is brought up. Sivaji expressed that there should be certain limits to glamour, that freedom is a privilege and they shouldn’t lose it.
