She described feeling mistreated after a simple request during a long trip home from New York via Atlanta to Korea. SISTAR’s Soyou Alleges Mistreatment On Flight But Alleged Eyewitness Says Otherwise
Soyou explained that after a busy schedule, she felt worn out and just wanted help with meal times. She asked for a Korean-speaking crew member to make things clearer. Instead, the head attendant saw her as rude and acted as if she caused trouble. For the next 15 hours, she faced chilly stares and unhelpful service from the team. In the end, she skipped all meals, leaving her hurt and thinking about hidden biases against her as an Asian passenger.
Netizens reacted quickly. Some fans shared their own bad experience with the same airline. Others praised Soyou for speaking up and added that no one should feel ashamed while asking for basic stuff.
However, not everyone agreed with Soyou’s side. A person claiming to be on the same shared a different view. As per Koreaboo, they said Soyou seemed tipsy and admitted to drinking, which made her skip food and struggle with the menu.
