Kim Mingee is a track and field athlete who joined the dating show Single’s Inferno season 5. On February 18, she shared a short video on her Instagram. In the video, she stands in front of a big ad poster of Karina inside a clothing store. She wrote a simple message with it: “Karina, I am always sorry. And thank you.” Fans think this is her way of apologising once more because so many people say the two look alike.

The entire thing began a while back. Pictures of Kim Mingee running on the track made rounds and reminded netizens of Karina from aespa. They started calling her “Track Karina” or “the athlete version of Karina”. At first, Kim Mingee liked the nickname. She even said on a TV show called King of Mask Singer that it made her happy for the first three months. But later, it started to feel too heavy. She worried it might bother Karina, so she spoke up and said sorry right there on the show.
