What Is The Hearing Disorder?
Alka Yagnik had once spoken about her struggles with a rare hearing disorder. She told her fans about it in 2024, and now, the singer has given an update on the same. During an interview with NDTV, Alka Yagnik revealed that she was diagnosed with rare sensory neural hearing loss. While the singer was hesitant to elaborate on the same, she only went on to mention that she was still struggling with the problem. Alka Yagnik also added that her hearing issue was the sole reason why she was not taking up any new singing projects despite the producers approaching her.
The singer had informed about her disorder through Instagram. In a note, she mentioned why the singer had been missing in action. The singer also warned her fans against loud music. She had also requested fans for good wishes.
For the unversed, Alka Yagnik last sang a song titled Naram Kalja for Imtiaz Ali’s film Amar Singh Chamkila, which featured Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra.
