Sidharth Malhotra faces the profound loss of his father, Sunil Malhotra.
Actor Sidharth Malhotra’s father, Sunil Malhotra, passed away four days ago. The actor has apparently flown down to his home in Delhi to spend time with his family and grieve away from prying eyes. His wife Kiara Advani accompanied the actor on his difficult journey there. Sources close to the actor revealed to HT City that the last rites have concluded.
However, the Student Of The Year star has stayed back with his loved ones in the capital itself. He has often spoken about the profound impact that his father has had in his life.

Sidharth Malhotra Loses Father, Posts Beautiful Tribute On X
Since he lives in Mumbai for work, the 41-year-old actor doesn’t get many chances to visit Delhi where he grew up. However, Sidharth Malhotra has always spoken about his father with great pride, even taking to social media to talk about how much the man meant to him. Despite not talking much about his father for privacy’s sake, the love and respect he had for him was unmistakable.
A former captain the Merchant Navy, the Malhotra father, along with his mother were the Hasee Toh Phasee actor’s biggest influences growing up.
He was a man of rare honesty, integrity and culture.
He lived by values that never bent. Discipline without harshness. Strength without ego. Positivity, even when life tested him beyond measure.

After the news of his father’s death came out, the actor took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share a stirring eulogy. Calling him strong and courageous even when “life tested him beyond measure”, Sidharth Malhotra briefly mentioned the stroke that made him wheelchair-bound. Adding that his dad left “peacefully in [his] sleep,” he concluded by saying that he hoped to live by the name, values, and light that the late Sunil Malhotra stood for.
