Ananya Panday’s upcoming OTT series Call Me Bae is making buzz on the internet with its new and interesting topic and the actor’s top-notch fashion in the film. While the trailer has been widely viewed, something that made viewers laugh the most was the ending statement of the trailer where a security guard makes a hilarious joke about Siddhanth Chaturvedi’s popular struggle statement on his Gehraiyaan co-star Ananya Panday. But he is all praise for the actress as he reacts on the scene!

Siddhant Chaturvedi On His Viral Struggle Comment Scene

A few years back on a celebrity roundtable with film critic Rajeev Masand, Chunky Panday’s daughter equated success in the film industry with appearing on Koffee With Karan show. This statement of hers received a lot of backlash but what was caught by the internet was actor Siddhant Chaturvedi’s reaction to that. He said, “The difference is jahaan humare sapne poore hote hain, wahi inka struggle shuru hota hai .” And now, a few years later Panday’s upcoming OTT series Call Me Bae has a reference scene to this statement.

Hours after the trailer was launched, the Kho Gaye Hum Kahan actor took to his Instagram stories and posted praise for his co-star. He wrote, “@ananyapanday in your element and how! @collindcunha best wishes to the whole team! Looks super fun! PS: love the last part @primevideoin @dharmamovies @karanjohar, The last part references to his old comment on the actress.

When asked about this hilarious reference in the series, Ananya Panday said that they are owning up to this. She said that she said this 5 years ago and to date struggles to answer any questions about the statement. But now she is done with all of that. She further explained that she wants out of the struggle controversy and is just hoping that people like her work. Concluding the answer she stated, “And there is no struggle, I’m doing fine.”

The Prime Video series, directed by Collin D’Cunha and written by Ishita Moitra, follows millionaire fashionista Bae as she navigates life after being shunned by her family. It is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment. Call Me Bae will stream on September 6.
