Shubhangi Atre has garnered major attention after what she had to say about the Women’s Reservation Bill. She reportedly revealed that she has a problem with the reservation and stated that women are no less than men. Shubhangi Atre On Women’s Reservation Bill
While having a conversation with IANS, Shubhangi Atre stated that there are two aspects of this. She expressed not knowing why there are fewer women in politics. The actress stated that she watches the news, adding that women are coming and getting places, which is an excellent thing, according to her. Shubhangi expressed having a problem with this reservation. The actress feels that if any person reaches anywhere, it should be because of their merit, adding, “We are no less than a man.”
What Did Her Father Say?
Further in the conversation, Shubhangi Atre revealed what her father used to say when she and her other two sisters were growing up. The Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain star stated that there are three sisters, and her father had always taught them that there is nothing in the world that a man could do that they could not do. She added, “So here I have a problem that women do not need a reservation at all. We are the creators.” Shubhangi further mentioned that nature has given women a responsibility to create a new life, adding, “You don’t need a reservation.” She also said that women are anyway very strong emotionally, adding that they are strong in crisis management as well.
