BigHit Music gave an official update. On March 19, during rehearsal, RM badly sprained his ankle and went to the hospital right away for a checkup. Doctors said he has a sprain near the accessory navicular bone, a small ligament tear, and bruising on the talus bone with swelling and ligament strain. They advised a cast and very little movement for at least two weeks to heal well.

RM wanted to perform fully at the special comeback live show, BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG, on March 21 at Gwanghwamun Square. This event means a lot to him, the members, and fans after such a long break. After speaking with him, the company chose to follow the doctor’s orders. They want to avoid making the injury worse. So RM’s stage time, mainly dancing, will be reduced for his safety.

Still, RM will join the show as much as possible. He plans to be on stage, talk to the crowd, and help make it memorable. The rest of BTS, Jin, Suga, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are preparing hard and aim to give fans an epic and powerful performance after the long wait.
