Recently, SHINee’s Taemin faced immense backlash after he made a comment about a predicted earthquake in Japan. Following which, the K-pop idol penned an apology note. Read on to know all about it.
Taemin’s Apology Note
The SHINee member took to Instagram and admitted that he spoke carelessly about the earthquake. He added that his only intention was to reassure worried fans. The SHINee member further stated that he spoke too lightly without fully considering the feelings of local residents or the seriousness of natural disasters. He also added that he himself was very concerned about the prediction and felt relieved that nothing serious occurred. Taemin promised to be more careful with his words and actions in the future.
What Did He Say?
During a livestream, Taemin and Minho had a conversation around Japan’s predicted earthquake. Taemin mentioned that despite the prediction, everything was still safe and there was no need for excessive worry. When Minho asked him about it, Taemin responded openly about his thoughts and stated that he imagined that it might make his performance look more dramatic. Many netizens found his remarks insensitive.
