Sherlyn Chopra Hits Back At Rakhi Sawant For Victim Blaming Her Over Sajid Khan Case. But What Was The Need To Slut-Shame In Return?
Earlier today, Rakhi Sawant mocked and slut-shamed Sherlyn Chopra for accusing Sajid Khan of sexual misconduct and attempting to file an FIR. It’s heartbreaking that as a woman herself, Rakhi victim shamed and victim blamed the actress for attempting to seek justice. In the viral video, Rakhi Sawant imitates Sherlyn and points out that the actress has been going to the police station to file a complaint but why would they file a complaint because there is no proof or witness while adding that the court hasn’t convicted the filmmaker either? To make the matters worse, Rakhi slut shamed Sherlyn and questioned why the actress now puts on “4 kgs of makeup” and dresses up in sarees to file a police complaint when earlier she used to wear clothes to entice men. But this viral video did not sit well with Sherlyn Chopra who has not hit back at the actress.
In an interaction with the media, Sherlyn was spotted imitating Rakhi Sawant and mocking her for her comments with regard to her allegations against Sajid Khan. The actress went on to call her out for changing her boyfriends and husbands every few months. She went on to call Rakhi “nautanki”, “charbi ki dukaan”, “motormouth”, “sadiyal”, “manhoos” and several other things. The actress further questioned why the former Bigg Boss contestant has been spewing “nonsense” and why isn’t she speaking to the point and open to Sajid Khan being investigated for all the allegations levelled against him. I have a message for Rakhi Sawant. Ma’am, in order for a court to convict a man of sexual harassment or molestation, a complaint has to be filed and allegations have to be investigated. Without all of that, no man will ever be convicted so, Sherlyn Chopra isn’t in the wrong for taking a step towards seeking justice as she deems fit. Slut shaming and victim shaming her for coming out with allegations is beyond shameful and as a woman herself, we’d expect her to understand another woman.

While I do understand Sherlyn Chopra’s anger with Rakhi Sawant and in no way do I agree with her but mocking Rakhi back doesn’t seem like handling the situation with maturity. As a woman, I am disappointed with Rakhi’s remarks on the case but to slut-shame her back is not right either. Slut-shaming in revenge is not going to help anyone else. You know how Mahatma Gandhi said, “An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.”
