Sharmistha Panoli Row: Kangana Ranaut, Pawan Kalyan Condemn Her Arrest, Urge Govt. To Not Become North Korea

The political climate seems to be facing a bit of turbulence, as Instagram influencer–Sharmistha Panoli gets arrested by Kolkata Police in Gurugram. The incident took place after an FIR was lodged against Panoli, a law student whose remarks on Operation Sindoor, shook the internet. In the video, Panoli called out Indian celebrities for being tight-lipped about Operation Sindoor and in return received a lot of flack and backlash from netizens. After removing this, Panoli also issued an apology on May 15.

What Did Kangana Ranaut Say?

Even after that, the law student got arrested by Kolkata Police for her remarks on the Indian army v/s Pakistan war. Speaking about the same, now actors and politicians–Kangana Ranaut and Pawan Kalyan have come out in support of her. In her latest media byte, BJP MP/actress Kangana Ranaut condemned Panoli’s arrest and urged the West Bengal government to not turn into North Korea. She also stated that something like this should not happen to any daughter. Ranaut also stated that Panoli had already deleted the post and apologised publicly, hence the arrest makes no sense. In her statement, she urged people to not end her career or question her character.
