Sharmin Segal Shares Salman Khan Proposed Her

In a candid conversation with Zoom, Sharmin Segal reminisced about her first encounter with a celebrity, revealing that it was none other than Salman Khan himself, whom she met on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s iconic film, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam when she was just two years old. Recalling the amusing incident, she recounted how Salman, in a playful jest, jokingly proposed marriage to her, to which her toddler self promptly responded with a resounding “No!” amidst laughter. Sharmin fondly shared how she still cherishes Salman’s iconic song “O O Jaane Jaana” from Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya, despite being too young to understand the concept of marriage back then.

Despite her familial ties to the esteemed director, Sharmin Segal emphasized that she received no preferential treatment on the sets of Heeramandi. In an interview with Indian Express, the actress debunked any notions of special treatment, asserting that she was treated like any other actor. Despite her uncle’s fondness for her, Sharmin made it clear that she approached him with the utmost respect as SLB, not just as her uncle.
