‘Shamshera’ Title Track Review: Ranbir Kapoor’s Raw Avatar Going In Sync With A Dramatic Background Score Is A Win-Win!

It also gives Khilji feels!

Any title track of a movie is always awaited by the audience, as it is a crucial part to know about the characters and plot a little before the final release of the movie. And talking about title tracks, we have got one! A few days back, the songs ‘Ji Huzoor’  and ‘Fitoor’ from the movie Shamshera broke the Internet. Now, we have the title track of the film featuring Ranbir Kapoor, and does it have the potential to create the same kind of buzz? The Shamshera title track starring Ranbir Kapoor was released on July 15, Friday. Within a few hours of its release, the story has already garnered many views. The lead singers of the song are Sukhwinder Singh and Abhishek Nailwal. The additional vocals have been given by Godswill Mergulhao, Anand Bhaskar, Varun Likhate, and Siddharth Basrur. Mithoon is the composer and producer of the song and the lyrics have also been given to him.

The title track is quite intense, and dark, and well, it goes well with the action-adventure genre of the film. Some scenes from the visuals look very grand and there are times when Ranbir’s look can remind you of Khilji. Ranbir Kapoor looks very raw in his Shamshera avatar, playing the role of a dacoit. We even get a glimpse of Sanjay Dutt in this song and his character is equally terrorising. Talking about the background score, very triumphant and upbeat music has been given to the title track. It actually elevates the intensity of the visuals and increases the engagement of the viewers. Therefore the music does justice to create a very engaging experience for the audience. The visuals are all about showing the terrors of Shamshera, and we get to know how cruel Ranbir’s character can get. Ranbir Kapoor shines in his character, his bold, furious look as a dacoit is very promising. From the song itself you know, that Ranbir is killing in his Shamshera role.

The lyrics of the song are dramatic and aptly describe the character of Shamshera. The base, heavy, and high voice modulations by the lead singers are very impressive. It actually adds a lot to create a very wholesome watching experience.

All in all, the new Shamshera title track, is well-balanced in terms of the lyrics, music, and visuals. However, this song will just fit well with the context of the film and might not be a song that we would want to listen to otherwise.
