Character crossovers from different films always surprise the audience and it’s worth knowing that Sandeep Reddy Vanga had planned a crossover from his universe as well. Yes, you read that right! Actor Shahid Kapoor, who starred in Kabir Singh, revealed that there was supposed to be a crossover between his film and Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal. However, it didn’t see the light of day. Read on to know what the actor stated.

Shahid Kapoor On Kabir Singh And Animal’s crossover!

During his chat with Dainik Bhaskar, Shahid Kapoor spoke about the widely discussed Kabir Singh and Animal crossover. He stated that when the Ranbir Kapoor starrer film was being made, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga had come to meet him as he wanted one scene of Kabir to be there in the 2023 released project but it did not happen. He vaguely stated that issues such as aligning the dates among other problems had arisen. Further, the Kaminey star stated that the characters from both the films hail from the Vanga universe, so whatever the director feels like doing with them, he will do that.

Did Sandeep Reddy Vanga Discuss This Crossover Before?

Previously, when Sandeep Reddy Vanga appeared on the Game Changers podcast, he stated that he actually thought of the Kabir Singh and Animal crossover but then he felt that the latter film had serious discussions where the doctors stated that the characters’ hearts, lungs and kidneys were gone. He felt that bringing Kabir in that scene would make it light, adding that the suffering and the discussions wouldn’t sound realistic in a film.

As far as the filmmaker’s professional front goes, he is busy making Spirit, which stars actor Prabhas and Tripti Dimri. As far as Shahid Kapoor goes, he is gearing up for the release of Vishal Bharadwaj directorial O’Romeo on February 13.
