The ongoing protest, associated with the Cockroach Janta Party in Jantar Mantar, has dominated headlines. Many celebrities have shown their support by sharing their thoughts about it on social media or attending the same in person. Talking about the same, actress Shabana Azmi is also among those celebrities who have joined the youth in protest. However, as per the report, the veteran star has fallen sick and was seen being assisted out of the crowd.
Shabana Azmi Falls Sick Amid Janatar Mantar Protest
On Monday, which was a day after Shabana Azmi joined the Cockroach Janatra Party’s protest at Delhi Jantar Mantar, she reportedly fell sick. The clips of the same have been making the rounds on social media. In one of the videos, we can see the student protesters asking the security personnel to open the gate so that the actress could be moved away from the crowd. Further, she was reportedly taken near a security cabin and assisted into a seated position. As far as her sickness is concerned, the exact cause of the same was not immediately known from the information. It is being said that the actress allegedly experienced dizziness and loose motions.

During her conversation with PTI, Shabana Azmi was asked whether more people from the Hindi film fraternity would join the protest. To this, the veteran star questioned why the same question is not being asked of the entrepreneurs or industrialists. Shabana Azmi pointed out that constantly centring the conversation around Bollywood’s involvement could divert attention from the issue. It’s worth noting other stars, including Swara Bhaskar, Prakash Raj, and Poonam Pandey, have joined the youth at Jantar Mantar for the protest. Additionally, celebrities including Zeenat Aman, Sonakshi Sinha, Soni Razdan, Abhay Deol, and more have shown their support via social media!
