Shabana Azmi Is Proud Of Alia Bhatt On Winning National Film Award: “My Cup Brimmeth Over With Pride…”

On August 29, 2023, Shabana Azmi took to Instagram to share a cute picture with Alia Bhatt and wrote in the caption about how proud she is of the young actress.

Taking to the Gram, Shabana Azmi shared a BTS picture with Alia Bhatt from the sets of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Azmi had her arms around Bhatt and the two were smiling widely for the camera. Shabana ji wrote the sweetest words praising Alia Bhatt in the caption. She called Alia ‘lovely’ and also how her cup has overflown with pride seeing how far Alia Bhatt has come as an artist. Azmi also wrote, “Nazar na large” in her caption!

Shabana Azmi’s praise for Alia Bhatt comes after the actress won her first National Film Award for her performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi. Alia surprised everyone with her performance in the film because no one had expected that she could play such a rugged and tough character so seamlessly. Soni Razdan dropped a cute comment on the post saying, “Such a beautiful picture” followed by a couple of red heart emojis.

Alia Bhatt was over the moon after it was announced that she won her first National Award. She took to Instagram to pen a note talking about her win wherein she thanked Sanjay Leela Bhansali, her family, the film’s crew and the audience for their support.
