Fans Send Protest Trucks To HYBE, Accusing The Company Of Sabotaging SEVENTEEN

SEVENTEEN recently came back with their highly anticipated comeback called ‘HAPPY BURSTDAY’. While fans were elated with joy with the new songs and concept, not all was good. Carats, SEVENTEEN’s fandom, accused their company, Pledis Entertainment and HYBE of neglecting their artists. There was also a very long delay in shipments of the pre-order albums. Here is what went down.

Why Are SEVENTEEN Fans Protesting

On June 24, at 10 AM, SEVENTEEN fans organised a protest by sending trucks in front of Hybe’s headquarters. The truck featured LED banners with their protest message written on them. The message on the truck read,  “We’re even fighting for the right to rest. We’ll challenge this to the very end,” and “Fans have protected the group, while the company turned its back.”

The reason for CARAT’s protest is due to the delay in shipping of SEVENTEEN’s physical album and the early closure of pre-orders for the album. Fans believe that these factors heavily affected the group’s comeback performance.

This led to frustration among fans as they believed that the group’s hard work had been affected by their company’s incompetence. Further, fans accuse HYBE of trying to sabotage SEVENTEEN and not taking sufficient steps to protect the group from malicious comments.
