K-pop idols and marriage are a tricky scene, as fans sometimes react strongly when their favourite stars tie the knot. In the past, such news led to massive outrages and hence the topic was rarely discussed openly. However, things are changing. Third-generation idols are starting to share their thoughts on marriage and relationships more freely. Read on to know more about it.

Earlier, SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi appeared on the show Yongtarot, hosted by comedian Lee Young Jin. During the episode, the SEVENTEEN member asked about his future and when he will get married. His question surprised the host, but Hoshi stated that he looks forward to a time when he can take that big step. He shared a heartfelt wish to one day go on family trips with his future wife. The SEVENTEEN member’s comment went viral and fans shared their reactions.

One might assume that fans may have been upset after his words. However, it didn’t turn out that way. Hoshi’s fans aka CARATs showed love and support. One fan posted online and said that they want the best for Hoshi and hope he finds someone to love and marry, no matter when or who. Surprisingly, Hoshi saw the post and responded and thanked the fan for their support with heart emojis.

Well, this can be seen as a change in how K-pop fans now view idols’ personal lives or their marriage. Earlier, fans often felt possessive and wanted their idols to stay single.

But now fans are understanding and are looking at their favourite idols as human beings. They are also creating and maintaining boundaries and the above situation is proof.
