What exactly happened? The controversy began when Hoshi liked an Instagram reel featuring SEVENTEEN’s 2019 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) performance. In the caption, the user wrote, “Never forget svt performance “hit” on 2019 MAMA right after they lost the “best dance performance” award.” Take a look at the post below!
An X user shared a screenshot of a reel he liked. Following which, it sparked major conversations. Some people thought that he subtly criticised or threw shade at BTS, who won the “Best Dance Performance” Award at the 2019 MAMA.
One user recalled the moment when Hoshi was all praises about BTS and referred to them as top performers. He also added that he watched their performances to learn. Another user mentioned that the post Hoshi liked was clearly not intended to be disrespectful towards BTS.
