Hoshi of SEVENTEEN recently won over fans’ hearts by posting a touching and heartfelt moment on social media. With his hand making a heart above it, the K-pop artist shared a picture of a scrawled message that said, ‘Seventeen Forever,’ in the sand. What made this message and Hoshi’s gesture even more heartwarming is the fact that it was not written by Hoshi or a SEVENTEEN member but by a fan! Read on to know more.
SEVENTEEN Hoshi’s Sweet Gesture
The message was made in celebration of the group’s tenth anniversary by the fan, an international CARAT (SEVENTEEN’s fandom), who had previously visited the beach. Hoshi happened to see it, and instead of silently admiring it, he posted the picture to his Instagram. He even changed his fan messaging app’s profile picture to the same picture as an additional show of appreciation and love for the fandom.
When the original fan that wrote this message saw that Hoshi had taken notice of her tribute, she became extremely emotional. “You are my last and greatest idol,” she wrote in a heartfelt Korean caption alongside the original, daylight-taken shot. I appreciate you noticing. In a heartwarming turn of events, Hoshi replied to her post with a straightforward but gratitude-filled, ‘Thank you.’
The emotional exchange was immediately praised by fans, who described it as romantic and ‘the kind of fan-idol interaction you dream of.’ “It’s touching how the message, left like a letter without an address, stayed long enough to be seen,” remarked one user.
