The Seoul International Drama Awards 2025 nominations are out. As per reports, the committee said that 32 people and 24 titles were selected for the show and individual categories. 276 submissions from 50 nations and regions were looked at by a global team of judges. The awards celebrate the best in TV dramas worldwide. So, read on to find out who is nominated this year.
Seoul International Drama Awards Nominations
In the Best Actor category, Adam Scott is nominated for his role in Severance S2 on Apple TV+. Benjamin Voisin for Carême, a French series on Apple TV+. Giorgos Ninios earned a nod for The Beach S2. Han Chin for Forget You Not on Netflix. Owen Cooper is nominated for his role in Adolescence on Netflix. Samuel Le Bihan for Alone at Sea.
Now, take a look at the Best Actress category. Here, Cate Blanchett is nominated for Disclaimer on Apple TV. Kim Dami for Nine Puzzles on Disney+ and Duda Santos for She’s The One on Globo. Kim Jung-Young earned a nod for My Trouble-Maker Mom and Kim Minha for Pachinko S2 on Apple TV+. Lastly, Rie Miyazawa and Ying-xuan Hsieh for Asura and Forget You Not.
In the Best Director category, Alex Garcia is nominated for One Hundred Years of Solitude. Ben Stiller for Severance S2, Bille August for The Count of Montecristo, Hirokazu Kore-eda for Asura, and Jin-ah Lee for To My Lonely Sister.
Furthermore, Leanne Welham is nominated for Pachinko S2, Lucy Tcherniak for Sunny, Philip Barantini for Adolescence, Kim Won-suk for When Life Gives You Tangerines and Yiannis Vasileiadis for Grand Hotel.
Now, onto the SDA Outstanding Star Korea Popularity, which is all about fan favourites. Kim Seon-ho wins the male category for his role in The Tyrant. BLACKPINK’s Jisoo wins the female category for Newtopia. What are your thoughts? Did your favourite make it onto the list?
