Selena Gomez On Taylor Swift’s Engagement

Soon after the engagement announcement, Selena Gomez took to her Instagram stories and re-shared the post. She wrote, “When bestie gets engaged,” she also added a smile emoji and some heart ones. But this wasn’t just about the ring for Gomez; it was more about a conversation the two BFFs shared 16 years ago. In 2009, Selena shared on X (Previously Twitter), “Discussing love with two 9-year-olds. That’s what love is supposed to be. Truly amazing, I’m never leaving Canada.”

To this, Taylor Swift replied, “Real love still happens sometimes. It’s not just something we make up when we’re nine. I have to believe that. You do too.”And now, fans have dug up this old tweet about love from the two and shared them with pics of their proposals. On August 26, the ‘Lover’ singer announced her engagement to Travis Kelce. Wearing a beautiful Ralph Lauren dress, she looked like a dream in a garden of flowers.

The confirmation about their engagement was given by the NFL star’s father, Ed Kelce. He confirmed that the announcement was made by the duo two weeks after it happened. He revealed that Travis had asked Taylor out for dinner and asked if she wanted to get some wine first. They then stepped into this beautiful set-up where he proposed.
