Sean New York prosecutors requested a federal judge to sentence rapper and music producer Sean “Diddy” Combs to more than 11 years in prison following his conviction of prostitution charges. Combs, who is 55 years old, was convicted in July of having made male s*x workers travel to his residences and his hotels, and there he made the workers engage in s*x with his girlfriends while he watched and took videos. Prosecutors Call For Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs To Be Sentenced To 11 Years

During their pre-sentencing trial, prosecutors requested a minimum sentence of 135 months, equivalent to over 11 years, and a fine of $500,000. They asserted that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ offences were serious and comparable to other decades-long cases. “His crimes of conviction are serious and warranted sentences over ten years in other cases with defendants who, like Sean Combs, committed violence and placed people in fear,” prosecutors alleged.

The sentencing hearing is scheduled to take place on Friday, while Combs will be told his punishment. His defence, however, argued yesterday that he should only get a very light sentence of up to 14 months, arguing that Combs has already spent close to 13 months in detention and “suffered enough.” They further argued that the judge should not consider the earlier charges of mistreatment of his former s*x partners, as he was found not guilty of coercing them.

The prosecutors were against this and alleged that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was seeking to portray himself as a victim. “He is not the victim. The Court should concentrate on the very real impact that the defendant’s behaviour had on the life of real victims, his victims,” their submission asserted. During the trial, two of Combs’ former girlfriends, including singer Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, testified about their experiences.

Cassie Ventura’s Testimony

Cassie Ventura described being forced to take part in degrading encounters with male s*x workers while Combs watched and filmed. She also accused him of physical violence throughout their relationship. “These events were degrading and disgusting, leaving me with infections, illnesses, and days of physical and emotional exhaustion before he demanded it all again,” Cassie testified.
