Judge Denies Sean Diddy Combs Bail After Verdict For S*x Trafficking Trial
Judge for Sean Diddy Combs’ trial says his chances of freedom are low after the verdict gets released.

After the decision for Sean Diddy Combs’ trial was announced, his legal team was overjoyed. However, Judge of the trial Arun Subramanian indicated that Diddy’s chances of freedom are low even after being acquitted on racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges by the jury. The rapper has also been denied bail and is to remain in prison till his sentencing.
The judge has cited the video of Sean Diddy Combs’ beating his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura and pictures of injuries that he allegedly caused to his ex-girlfriend. He made it clear that Subramanian plans to hold Combs accountable for his actions and the heinous nature that was exposed throughout his trial.
What Did The Judge Say About Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ Trial
Contrary to belief online, Sean Diddy Combs’ prison punishment lies on Subramian’s decision. While judges do rely on or adhere to the federal jury’s guidelines, they are not mandatory to do so.
Combs’ lawyers seek less than the 21 to 27 months in prison that they believe the sentencing guidelines recommend. Prosecutors argue that, when properly including Combs’ crimes and violent history, the guidelines require at least four to five years in prison.
The judge noted the jury had seen a video of Combs attacking his then-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in a Los Angeles hotel in March 2016. He also mentioned that another former girlfriend of Combs, a woman who testified under the pseudonym ‘Jane’, was left with visible bruises and injuries after Combs hit her repeatedly in June 2024.
The judge said that the assault, which Jane said occurred before Combs forced her to have a s*xual encounter with a male s*x worker, was part of the prostitution-related offences, violations of the federal Mann Act, that led to a conviction. Cassie Ventura, through her lawyer, also urged Judge Subramanian to keep Combs in jail.
