Donald Trump is considering the idea of issuing a presidential pardon to music mogul Sean Diddy Combs, according to reports!

Donald Trump is considering the idea of issuing a presidential pardon to music mogul Sean Diddy Combs, according to Deadline. The news comes as Sean Diddy Combs waits to be sentenced after he was found guilty on two federal counts of transporting people for prostitution under the Mann Act. Although he was acquitted of the more severe charges of s*x trafficking and racketeering conspiracy, his attorneys are advocating vigorously for his release before sentencing.
Donald Trump To Grant Presidential Pardon To Sean Diddy Combs
Deadline was informed by sources that plans regarding the possibility of a pardon have shifted from rumour into serious debate within Trump’s inner circle. Trump himself had earlier in May stated that he would certainly consider clemency if he believed Combs was not being dealt with fairly.
Combs’ attorneys are fighting his pre-sentencing imprisonment, claiming that his behaviour was consensual relationships and not worthy of jail time. They say nobody else in America has ever been jailed under the Mann Act for such actions and deem his imprisonment excessive and contrary to Department of Justice policy.
His sentencing is on October 3, and if the court adheres to regular sentencing practices, he may be jailed for a maximum of three years, though any time would be credited to the sentence. An appeal is likely shortly after sentencing.

Although Combs’ lawyers haven’t spoken publicly of any clemency bid, those who know him have been said to have been lobbying the president. A White House spokesperson has, however, refused to either confirm or deny the fact that any clemency request had been officially made.
Sean Diddy used to be a friend of Trump, although their friendship strained during Trump’s presidency. Nonetheless, Trump revealed that he was willing to reconsider the case despite any previous misunderstandings.
