In 2023, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, received a lot of backlash for glorifying misogyny and toxic relationships. The makers and the stars also addressed the criticism. During a recent interview, Vanga opened up about whether or not Ranbir had any doubts about Animal. Sandeep Reddy On Animal
During a conversation with Nagarjuna and Ram Gopal Verma, Sandeep Reddy Vanga answered the latter’s question on whether or not Ranbir Kapoor had any doubts about doing Animal. Vanga said that the Wake Up Sid star never had any doubts about doing the film. As per the director, everything was very new for Ranbir.
During this conversation, Nagarjuna also recalled an incident when he was shooting Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor. He revealed that Ranbir Kapoor was quite excited about doing Animal as he was about to begin shoot for the same. As per Nagarjuna, Ranbir was only talking about the film, and out of this excitement, he had also shown him a kissing scene from the Telegu version of Arjun Reddy starring Vijay Deverakonda. Nagarjuna added that Ranbir Kapoor just kept saying that the scene looked so real.

Animal was quite a hit at the box office, and it also featured Triptii Dimri in a pivotal role. It released in December, 2023.

On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor is currently shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love And War with Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. His next project Ramayana is another highly-anticipated film. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari will star Sai Pallavi and other excellent actors in important roles.
