Sanaya Irani On Why She Rejected Fanaa?
In an exclusive interview with Hauterrfly’s The Male Feminist hosted by Siddhaarth Aalambayan, Sanaya shared a funny story story when she got a call for Fanaa and how she ended up doing it! She said, “I did Fanaa. That is a funny story in itself. I remember when I got called from Yash Raj Films and they were like there’s this movie with Mr. Aamir Khan and Kajol is there in it and we want you to play one of the friends. And, I was like, no, I’m just interested in doing leads, so thank you very much.” She further added, “But then they called me back and they were like no, it’s a big film and there are these important friends and everything. And I was like, okay fine. ”

Furthermore, she added, “I really like Aamir and Kajol. So that will be a good experience. Like I was thinking differently and was in a different world. And there was a reading one day and everyone was sitting in the reading. And I had to reach Juhu. Now South Bombay girl has to reach Juhu. This was a task. So, I don’t go the reading. They are sitting at the reading and I’m sleeping at home and I get a call and they ask, where are you? I was like, I’m so sorry, I’m sleeping and I completely forgot. I’m so sorry if this is not working for you. You guys, I won’t be able to make it now. It’s too late.” She further added that she was on speaker and Kunal Kohli heard her conversation. He found it hilarious like I’m sleeping. So he’s like, I have to call this girl. And that’s how it happened!”
