Samay Raina About India’s Got Latent
During his stand-up special called Samay Raina Still Alive, the comedian joked, “In that episode, Beer Biceps asked that question eight times. And apart from that, he also asked a lot of random, nonsensical (rubbish) questions. So when I saw the edit, I said, ‘He has said some really inappropriate things.'” He further said that from his point of view, he had removed almost all of the inappropriate content. Raina’s honest admission has made this episode go viral on social media.
During the same episode, he also opened up about the aftermath of the scandal and admitted to the guilt he felt when his fellow comedians received death threats and legal notices. Samay reflected on how the situation caused concern for his parents during the tough times. For the unversed, it all started when Ranveer Allahbadia asked, “Would you rather watch your parents have s*x every day for the rest of your life or join in once to make it stop forever?”
Though at the moment, the panel, including Ashish Chanchalani and Apoorva Mukhija, laughed it off, it got viral on social media and attracted major backlash. Post this, many FIRs were filed against Ranveer and the show’s producers, who also received multiple death threats and multiple online cancellations.
