Tensions seem high in Jammu after India said it ‘neutralised’ Pakistani drones and a missile attack targeting several military sites. Amid this, stand-up comedian Samay Raina expressed his support for the Indian Army and shared his worry for his father, who is currently in Jammu. He also revealed that he had talked to his father, who assured him that the Indian Armed Forces had ensured his safety.
What Samay Raina Said
On Friday, May 9, stand-up comedian Samay Raina took to his Instagram stories and shared updates about his father, who is in Jammu. He wrote, “My father calls me one last time tonight from Jammu to say goodnight. His voice, steady and calm, urges me to sleep and not worry—the Indian armed forces have everything under control. I switch off the lights in my Mumbai home and walk to the window to draw the curtains. Outside my window, my neighbour’s lights still glow.”
He penned a very emotional note in a poetic language for the Armed Forces, who are relentlessly saving everyone at the border. To express his current turmoil about the situation, he wondered if his neighbour, too, had family in the affected regions or was the son of a brave soldier. He later saluted the army for all their sacrifices.
