After multiple FIRs and complaints against YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent, the Maharashtra Cyber Cell initiated an investigation against everyone involved. However, comedian and creator Samay Raina is currently not in India and on a request from his lawyer, the police have extended his dates to record the official statement in the case. Samay Raina Needs To Record Statement By March 10
A few days back, India’s Got Latent creator Samay Raina informed the police that he is currently on a USA tour for his shows and will only be back by March 13. However, as per some news reports, Samay Raina has been asked to present himself before the police by March 10 or before that. He has been asked to record his official statement by the aforementioned date. The comedian is expected to record his statement regarding Ranveer Allahbadia’s controversial joke on his show.
For the unversed, Samay Raina had addressed the issue with an official post on his social media. He stated that all the criticism was quite hard for him to process and in response, he had also taken down all the episodes of his show India’s Got Latent. Raina also said that he would comply with the laws and fully cooperate with the authorities.

On the other hand, as per the police, Ranveer Allahbadia was unreachable when they approached him. His house in Versova was locked and his phone was unreachable.

The Maharashtra Cyber has also summoned previous judges of India’s Got Latent including Rakhi Sawant and Uorfi Javed among others. Many celebrities, artists and comedians have also come out in support of the comedian.
