Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav Passes Sarcastic Remark On Dhurandhar, Says It Defames Other Parties

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar has sparked buzz since the release of its first installment. The Aditya Dhar film is running in theatres currently, and is on its way to break all records. Many celebrities have also praised the film and performances. But, politician Akhilesh Yadav has made a sarcastic remark against it. During a recent public appearance, he called the film a propaganda to defame other political parties. Read here for more.

What Did Akhilesh Yadav Say?

During a public appearance, and in this video, Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav made a strong statement against Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar directed by Aditya Dhar. In this, he said that a lot of film is being spent in movies that are defaming other parties. He further said, “I think too much money has reached them.” In his statement, he also alleged that the government was spending money on these film and even to spread them. The statement against Dhurandhar have gone viral on social media.

On the other hand, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has already broken certain records at the box-office, after it released on March 19. The film also stars Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi and Sara Arjun.

For the unversed, the film also faces a legal notice from the Sikh Community over an AI poster related to Ranveer Singh’s Jaskirat. The community has asked to stop the screening till the issue is sought. They have also asked for strong actions against the makers including the lead actor. The team has not responded to it as of now.

Dhurandhar released on December 5, last year and the film’s second installment released recently.
