Salman Khan On Pairing With Young Actresses
During the trailer launch of Sikandar, Salman Khan was asked about the 31-year-old age gap with co=star Rashmika Mandanna. To this, he replied, “Ab heroine ko problem nahi ho rahi toh aapko kyu ho rahi hai. Inki shadi hogi, bachchi hongi, toh unke sath bhi kaam karenge. Mummy ka permission toh mil he jaega.” This comment startled many because of the insensitivity with which it was spoken. The bridging age gap is concerning as this discourages the notion that older women aren’t seen as ‘heroic’ as male actors of the same age.
