Pakistan About Salman Khan
On Sunday, October 26, Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting took to their official X (formerly Twitter) account and addressed the news of Salman Khan being on the terror watch list. The post had a screenshot of a headline that said, “Pakistan puts Salman Khan on terror watchlist after Balochistan remark.” But a stamp stating ‘Fake news/ unverified’ was embossed upon that picture. The text read, Salman Khan has allegedly been placed on Pakistan’s “Fourth Schedule” under its Anti-Terrorism Act after making remarks about Balochistan, and is labelled a “terror facilitator”.
The account clarified that there was no official record or government notification from Pakistan confirming the actor’s inclusion in NACTA’s proscribed persons list or any related gazette. It noted that all circulating reports originated from Indian media, with no verifiable source linking back to an official Pakistani announcement.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in Pakistan dismissed the claims as unverified and likely driven by sensationalism, suggesting that the story appeared to be more of a media exaggeration than a factual report.
