The much-awaited reality show in India, Bigg Boss, is back on our screens again. Many popular actors, content creators, and celebrities from diverse backgrounds are featured in the show’s 19th season. Another aspect of the reality show’s popularity is its host, actor Salman Khan; however, in this season, the star is reportedly taking a pay cut on his salary. He will be getting comparitively less than the previous seasons of Bigg Boss, and here’s why. Read on.
Why Is Salman Khan Taking A Pay Cut?
Salman Khan is everyone’s favourite host for Bigg Boss, and well, why not. The charm, swag and style with which the Bajrangi Bhaijaan star hosts the show is clearly unmatched. As per a Hindustan Times report, Salman Khan is charging Rs 10 crore for hosting each weekend episode of Bigg Boss 19. However, the twist here is that the actor will not be hosting the entire season for Bigg Boss 19. Salman Khan will reportedly host only 15 weeks of Bigg Boss 19 instead of three months. Therefore, he will be earning only 150 crore this season which is less than Bigg Boss 18 (Rs 250 crore) and Bigg Boss 17 (Rs 200 crore). So it’s basically because the actor is not hosting the entire season. There is currently no clarification as to why the actor is not hosting the entire season, but in some previous seasons too, we have seen other celebrities hosting Bigg Boss.
As per the news reports, the rest of Bigg Boss 19 will be hosted by directors Farah Khan and Karan Johar.
