Internet Slams Salman Khan’s Comment On Farrhana Bhatt’s Marriage Questions, Calls It Misogynistic!
Salman Khan was most recently seen in Sikandar. Read here for more about it.
Sometimes it’s easy to pass off a very problematic comment easily without even realising the impact of it. A similar situation has erupted for Bigg Boss 19 house Salman Khan after he made a casual remark on Farrhana Bhatt, which seems to be considered very misogynistic by social media users. The moment happened during the weekend episode. Read on to know more about it.
What Did Salman Khan Say?
During the conversation, when Ashnoor Kaur said that Farrhana Bhatt spread a lot of negativity in the house, Bigg Boss 19 host Salman Khan interrupted to make a rather typical patriarchal comment on the Bhatt. He said that when there will be marriage talks at Farrhana Bhatt’s house, and the in-laws will ask what kind of a girl was she. He further went on to answer it and said she uses curse words, fights at home and throws plate and this was the exact kind of daughter-in-law they wanted. He laughs and adds that in-laws would also be happy that she had the perfect traits to ruin their son’s life and be the “peace activist” that they were looking for their son.
This comment did not go well with many social media users and they bashed the Dabangg star for making such misogynistic remark. They were also shocked to see Ashnoor Kaur’s reaction to Salman Khan’s statement and were not happy that she just nodded and laughed in agreement. For many on social media, the statement by the actor was quite an ick and they did not appreciate this mindset.
