Salim Khan, legendary screenwriter and Salman Khan’s father, was admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati hospital on 17th February. According to the reports, he underwent surgery following a haemorrhage and is on ventilator support. His condition is said to be critical but stable, adding that he is under close observation. Amid this, many of his well-wishers and Bollywood celebrities prayed for his speedy recovery. This includes Somy Ali, Salman Khan’s ex-girlfriend, who shared a post dedicated to him and Sanjay Dutt and Javed Akhtar, who paid a visit to the hospital.
Sanjay Dutt, Javed Akhtar Visit Salim Khan At The Hospital
Sanjay Dutt reportedly visited Salim Khan at Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday night. Along with sharing a professional relationship, the duo are also family friends. The actor shares a close friendship with Salman Khan as well. Additionally, Javed Akhtar, who penned iconic scripts of the 70s with Salim Khan, also visited the hospital to check on him. The duo is famous for writing Sholay, Shakti, Zanjeer and more. During their visit to the hospital, Salim Khan’s family, including Salman, Arbaaz, Aayush, Alvira, Nirvaan, Arhaan Khan and Ayaan Agnihotri, were also present.

Somy Ali Pens Emotional Note
Somy Ali, who dated Salman Khan, took to her Instagram to reveal the close bond she shares with Salim Khan and the family. Somy penned that her heart sank because of his hospitalisation. She also wrote that for the world, he is a legendary writer, but for her he was a father figure. She recalled the time when she lived at his home, where she was treated like his daughter, included at the table, engaged in deep conversations about faith, where all religions were respected and celebrated.
Somy also mentioned that Salim Khan taught her that God is bigger than doctrine and that storytelling must always carry truth beneath the drama. She ended the note by saying that his brilliance built cinema’s history and humanity built people, adding, “Praying for his strength and recovery. He means more to me than words can say.”
