She further stressed that the couple was separated, not divorced, and asked journalists not to refer to her as his ex-wife. Saira emphasised her willingness to support her ex-husband Rahman during his difficult times, while also admitting that she is recovering from surgery. Rahman’s ex-wife was recently hospitalised for a medical issue. In a statement issued through her lawyers, Vandana Shah and Associates, Saira Rahman stated, “AR is in my prayers and I wish him the best of health.” In this difficult moment, I support him while I recover from my surgery and wish him a swift recovery. We greatly appreciate his fans’ love, prayers, and well-wishes.” The statement was signed by Mrs Saira Rahman.
In an audio message accompanying the statement, Saira Rehman wished him a speedy recovery and mentioned that she had received news of his chest pain and subsequent angioplasty. She reassured everyone that, by the grace of Allah, he was now fine. She also clarified that they were not officially divorced but remained husband and wife, though they were separated. She explained that her health had not been good for the past two years, and she did not want to cause him additional stress.
