Saif Ali Khan’s Rs 15000 Crore Pataudi Family Property In Trouble? Here’s What We Know
The Bhopal district administration refuses to comment on any developments because the Pataudi family's version of the tale remains uncertain.

Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan has been discharged from Lilavati Hospital and is currently recovering from the unfortunate stabbing. In recent updates, historical properties linked to his family are one step away from being taken away under government control. This comes after the Madhya Pradesh court lifted a state order imposed on these properties in 2015. Here are the details of the case.
Saif Ali Khan’s Ancestral Property In Danger
According to an India Today story, the court removed the stay on the ancestral assets, which might result in their acquisition under the Enemy Property Act of 1968. The Pataudi family’s key assets under inspection include the Flag Staff House, where Saif Ali Khan spent his boyhood, as well as Noor-Us-Sabah Palace, Dar-Us-Salam, Habibi’s bungalow, Ahmedabad Palace, Kohefiza Property, and others.
The ruling was issued by Justice Vivek Agarwal, who stressed the statutory remedies available under the modified Enemy Property Act of 2017 and directed the Pataudi family to file a representation within 30 days. For the uninitiated, the Enemy Property Act allows the Central Government to seize properties owned by people who moved to Pakistan after Partition in 1947.
The Bhopal district administration refuses to comment on any developments because the Pataudi family’s version of the tale remains uncertain. However, Bhopal Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh stated that any action will be taken only when the High Court’s decision is known.
Notably, in 2015, the Mumbai-based Enemy Property Custodian Office declared the Nawab of Bhopal’s land as government property, prompting the Pataudi family to take legal action.
In 2015, the High Court began considering the enemy property lawsuit brought against Saif Ali Khan, his mother Sharmila Tagore, sisters Soha Ali Khan and Saba Ali Khan, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi’s sister Sabiha Sultan, the Centre, and others.
