Sai Tamhankar is well-known for her work across Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, and Malayalam films. The actress is known for never shying away from putting her voice out in public. While her professional life keeps her in the limelight, her personal life has also often been the talk of the town. The actor ended her marriage with producer Amey Gosavi in 2015 and their after-divorce party became a revelation amongst the audience.

When asked about the same in the recent episode of The Male Feminist with host Siddhaarth Aalambayan, Sai shared her experience about going to the court to sign the papers. She mentioned–”You’re in a very different space when you do these things. When you go to a court and sign on that document.” Sai says, “The place is like a market where they shout both your names. And the shocking thing is that they addressed me through Sai Tamhankar Gosavi because that was apparently my name on the papers even though I hadn’t changed it after marriage,” Sai revealed.

“After completing all the formalities, we were both in a weird space so we both went to get a drink,” Sai explained that they were both getting a couple of drinks when they shared things, “There was crying, talks about love, and life advice given. Then a few of our close friends knew about it so they called to check on us. When our friends called one by one, we told them that we were here so suddenly there were 9-10 people around us and we drank and had a great time.”

The audience were very shocked and happy to hear about this post-divorce party as both Sai and Amey were on good terms with each other so this was a great way to have closure. This revolutionised things in a positive way and Sai also revealed that she is very good friends with Gosavi and they still meet from time-to-time.
