This was the reason why people looked forward to seeing the first poster of the highly anticipated film, Ek Din starring Sai Pallavi and Junaid Khan. However, after the project’s poster was released on January 15, it garnered mixed reactions. Many of them criticised and compared it with the Thai film titled One Day.
Netizens Criticise Ek Din’s Poster
In Ek Din’s poser we see Sai Pallavi and Junaid Khan walking while having an ice against a snowy backdrop. When its first look was dropped on Thursday, social media users shared their unfiltered opinions over the same. Reddit users called out the makers for allegedly using the same backdrop in the poster as the Thai film One Day and also translating the title into Hindi. A social media user stated that AI should take over, as real creators are busy copying everything frame by frame. However, it’s worth mentioning that a section of netizens expressed that they loved the poster. Since this project will mark actress Sai Pallavi’s Bollywood debut, people hoped that this film works out for her and also shared their excitement to watch the movie.

A day after releasing the poster, the makers also dropped the film’s teaser online. While the poster got mixed reactions, its teaser garnered positive reviews from the netizens. People expressed that they looked forward to watching Ek Din.
As far as other details of the film go, it is reportedly based on the Thai romance drama titled One Day, which stars Chantavit Dhanasevi and Nittha Jirayungyurn. It’s worth mentioning that the Sai Pallavi and Junaid Khan starrer, which was initially named Mere Raho, was scheduled to be released in 2025. However, the project’s release date got pushed, and now it will see the light of day on May 1.
