In recent events, former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar met with the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence to invite him to his son, Arjun Tendulkar’s, wedding with Saaniya Chandok. On Tuesday, February 10, Sachin Tendulkar took to his X (Previously Twitter) account and wrote, “We were honoured to invite Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji to Arjun and Saaniya’s wedding. Thank you, Modi ji, for your blessings and thoughtful advice for the young couple.” Saaniya Chandok is the granddaughter of Ravi Ghai, Chairman of Graviss Group and has been a close friend of the Tendulkar family, particularly Sara Tendulkar, for many years.

Saaniya Chandok is from one of Mumbai’s wealthiest families and works as a Designated Partner and Director at Mr Paws Pet Spa & Store LLP. The Ghai family has a strong influence in the hospitality and food industries, owning both the InterContinental hotel and the iconic ice cream company Brooklyn Creamery.

Arjun joined the Mumbai Indians in 2021 for a basic salary of Rs 20 lakhs but missed the season owing to injury. The franchise believed in him and re-signed him for Rs 30 lakhs in the 2022 auction. He made his IPL debut against the Kolkata Knight Riders in 2023. He has played five IPL matches and taken three wickets. However, his possibilities were limited the next year, as he only appeared in one game without success.
