Rupali Ganguly Criticises Diljit Dosanjh For ‘Confused Loyalities’, Praises Border 2 Makers For Removing Him

Actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh found himself amid a serious controversy for his upcoming film Sardaar Ji 3. The film features Pakistani artist Hania Aamir, and it has received a lot of flak on social media and from various celebrities. Recently, Anupamaa star Rupali Ganguly also commented on the same, and criticised the Chamkila star for his ‘confused loyalties’. She also hailed the Border 2 makers for a good decision. What Did Rupali Ganguly Say?

Anupamaa star Rupali Ganguly often gives her opinion on various trending issues. She recently spoke about Diljit Dosanjh’s Sardaar Ji 3 controversy. The actor took to her Twitter handle to bash an actor in Border 2 (Diljit Dosanjh) for not fulfilling his responsibilities towards the country and called it ‘disheartening’. She then went on to hail the Border 2 makers for dropping Diljit Dosanjh from the film. She further added that their decision showed clarity as the film celebrates soldiers and national pride. Rupali Ganguly also stated that the actor had ‘confused loyalties’ and that there was ‘no room’ for that in a film which was also all about evoking patriotic feelings.

Earlier, singer Mika Singh had also criticised Diljit Dosanjh for promoting a film with the Pakistani star Hania Aamir. However, during an interview, writer Javed Akhtar said that the makers should be allowed the film’s release in India, but with a warning that the mistake should not be repeated.

The makers of Sardaar Ji 3 addressed the controversy and said that the film will not be released in India. Many film bodies and associations also called for a ban on Diljit Dosanjh. For the unversed, after the terrifying Pahalgam attack by terrorists, India took strong steps against Pakistan. One of them was banning Pakistani artists and their social media handles in India.
