BTS fans, also known as ARMYs, are eagerly anticipating the release of the upcoming album, ARIRANG. The recent teaser for the title track, ‘Swim’ has everyone talking, with fans dissecting the concept, cinematic visuals, and clues. A major highlight is the mystery woman in the teaser, and many speculate it’s actress Lili Reinhart (popularly known for Riverdale), fuelling wild theories and an online frenzy about her potential cameo in the music video. Is Riverdale Star Lili Reinhart Featured In BTS’ SWIM Teaser?
On March 17, BTS released the teaser for Swim, which is the title track from their album Arirang. The teaser begins with the woman walking slowly through an empty museum. She stops by a large ship model and then the view changes to ocean waves. Lights fade until the room goes dark and it leaves the ship glowing and later the title ‘Swim’ appears and a beat plays.
Even though it is a short clip, it shows a mystery woman with her face hidden. Many fans think she is actress Lili Reinhart, popularly known from Riverdale. Just like that, the theory made rounds across social media platforms and started looking for more clues. BTS filmed in Lisbon in early February, and soon after, Lili Reinhart followed BTS’s Instagram, and director Tanu Muino followed her back. Lili Reinhart also liked some BTS posts and also wrote a poetry book called Swimming Lessons, which matches the song title ‘Swim’. ARMYs noticed things like a small mole near the woman’s ear, her blonde hair, and a photo of Lili Reinhart’s back that looks similar. Many are now fully convinced that she appears in the full music video.
Arirang is BTS’s fifth full album and first group one in almost four years. The album drops on March 20 at 1 pm KST.
As of now, no official word has come from BTS, HYBE, Tanu Muino, or Lili Reinhart yet. The teaser hides her face, and no cast details are out; hence, the full MV might solve the mystery soon. On the other hand, with the group’s concert on March 21 and the Netflix documentary on March 27.
